Autumn Sourdough Taster Workshop with Foraging (Saturday 12th October 2019)

Time: 11:30 am -3:30 pm

Location: The Old Barn, Pollok Park

In this class, Kaleyard welcomes Vicky Manning from The Little Sourdough Bakery as a guest cook, and will show students how to make and bake sourdough.  This class will explain, in simple terms, the science behind sourdough as well as examining how different flours work and the most important part – how to maintain and understand your starter.
We will bake focaccia, making sourdough pancakes and flatbreads.  We will provide a lovely autumn soup and salad to go with the focaccia you bake.
You will also take home a loaf you can prove and bake at home.
To add to the excitement, Vicky will also lead the group on a light forage that can be used in class (dependent on weather and forage availability).
